Small image size with transparent background

Recommended Posts

Hy there,

i need to have images with a transparent background for a website.

usually I do that with png. But my current files are just to big, around 2,5 -4 mb. I need them to be less than 1.

the problem is, they the pictures are detailed, not the typical png pictures more typical jpeg, pictures...

so which format can I use instead? Or how can I reduce the size?

thanks

johny

You’ll probably need to export from Affinity Photo, and then uniformly reduce the pixel dimensions 🤷‍♂️
In Photoshop the Save for Web export function has tonnes of settings if you have access to that...

You could resize them in Affinity photo using Resize to Resample to a lower px resolution.
