uncle808us
When I start a project and go to save it if I try to open a new folder and then save it crashes both Designer and Photo, this has to be fixed. The new folder is in iCloud but the same action also crashes when trying to create a new file on my Local Hard drive. This happens on both my Macs running OSX El Capitan Ver 10.11.6. If the folder has already been created no problems. Only happens every time I try to create a new folder. Quote Mac MacBook Pro 15 in. OS X 10.9.5, Mid 2012 456.77 GB Affinity Design and Photo. Staff Chris B Posted June 19, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 19, 2020 Hey uncle808us, I believe this is a bug in El Capitan and older—Possibly Sierra too. I'm sure we haven't seen this reported again High Sierra or newer and I am unable to reproduce it on Catalina. uncle808us
That's good information, but will this be fixed? Not everyone who bought Affinity in good faith has the money to buy new computers that will run the newer OS's. Thanks What I need is software that works. Quote Mac MacBook Pro 15 in. Staff Chris B Posted June 23, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 23, 2020 It's an El Capitan Finder bug—not an Affinity one. This is something we cannot fix unfortunately. This is why it doesn't affect newer operating systems—because Apple fixed it somewhere.
