Hi,

I have an issue that I cannot think of a solution (other than doing it manually).

I am working in a bilingual poetry book.

I want the section name as a heading in each page.

I have the Spanish text on the left pages and the English text on the right pages.

Is there a way that I can have the heading on the left pages with the name of the section in Spanish and the heading of the right pages with the name in English?

I try to trick it writing both names in the field for Section name, separated for enough spaces between them so SpanishName would be on the left side margin and EnglishName would be on the right and then make the text frame smaller so it would show just one of names. Problem is on the right side page, that I want the EnglishName shown, but even if I align the heading text to the right inside the text frame, the word that appears is the SpanishName. This is a screen capture of both headings with the right one showing the whole name (Spanish and English). What I want is to not show the Spanish name on the right page.

So, the question would be: is there a way to make the SpanishName not show in the right page?

Or, is there a way to have a section with the odd pages and different section with the even pages?

Thanks for your attention. I hope I could explain properly.

I had to copy and paste a line return into the Section heading but it is relatively easy, connect your Text Frames on the Master Page.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thank you, Old Bruce!

It took me some time to figure it out, but I finally did it in a testing file, but when I try to do it in the real file I cannot link the headers, it doesn't show me the little triangle to click and connect to the other header. Is there a tool for linking text frames other than to click on the little triangle? Thanks

Sorry for not replying before. I had to pause that project for while.

Thank you Lagarto for your advice, it worked perfectly.

I also tried what Old Bruce said: I wrote both names in any text frame, separated by a line return and each aligned to the right side, then copy and paste them in the Section name:

Spanish part

                                                             English part

It worked too.

Thanks a million!
