  1. Sorry for not replying before. I had to pause that project for while. Thank you Lagarto for your advice, it worked perfectly. I also tried what Old Bruce said: I wrote both names in any text frame, separated by a line return and each aligned to the right side, then copy and paste them in the Section name: Spanish part English part It worked too. Thanks a million!
  2. Thank you, Old Bruce! It took me some time to figure it out, but I finally did it in a testing file, but when I try to do it in the real file I cannot link the headers, it doesn't show me the little triangle to click and connect to the other header. Is there a tool for linking text frames other than to click on the little triangle? Thanks
  3. Hi, I have an issue that I cannot think of a solution (other than doing it manually). I am working in a bilingual poetry book. I want the section name as a heading in each page. I have the Spanish text on the left pages and the English text on the right pages. Is there a way that I can have the heading on the left pages with the name of the section in Spanish and the heading of the right pages with the name in English? I try to trick it writing both names in the field for Section name, separated for enough spaces between them so SpanishName would be on the left side margin and EnglishName would be on the right and then make the text frame smaller so it would show just one of names. Problem is on the right side page, that I want the EnglishName shown, but even if I align the heading text to the right inside the text frame, the word that appears is the SpanishName. This is a screen capture of both headings with the right one showing the whole name (Spanish and English). What I want is to not show the Spanish name on the right page. So, the question would be: is there a way to make the SpanishName not show in the right page? Or, is there a way to have a section with the odd pages and different section with the even pages? Thanks for your attention. I hope I could explain properly.
  4. Thanks, v_kyr, I'll try Calibre. To have more output formats would benefit us a lot, since sometimes we need to share the document with others (editors, reviewers, authors...) who need to make changes or write comments, the same way you share a doc in a review mode in MS Word with the tracking changes option on.
  5. So the question would be then, how to convert from Affinity Publisher to any other format that let you convert easily to epub. Since PDF is the output of APub, and we need to convert to any ebook format, which is the best option? And for the developers: If there is not in the horizon the option to have the epub format from APub, then, it is possible to have any other document format like Word, RTF, TXT, HTML? Thanks
  6. Please, the time is now, when everybody is asking for ebooks. I really need to be able to have both formats.
  7. Hi all, I have a problem with the 'Rescale' option. I have a 400 pages book in Publisher I set up the Master page with the text frames snapped to margins. I have all the text defined by different text styles. I want to change the size of the whole doc pages. I had a 6x9 in and want to change to 6.69x9.61in (169.9x244 mm). When I don't choose the Rescale option in the Spread Set up menu, the font size remains the same, but all the text frames too, and I have to adjust all of them manually, so they are right with the margins. When I choose Rescale in Spread Setup, it adjust the text frames to the margins but also rescale the font size, even when I have it defined in Text Styles. The Text styles remain the same (i.e. Body = 10 pt) but the document font size is changed (i.e Body+ = 10.7 pt). I have to go again by each paragraph to reapply the text style and make the font the size I want it. How could I change the page size, without changing the font size BUT making the text frames stay on the margins? Thank you!
  8. I also want to add to the crowd, I need to have both options: PDF and ebooks. Please consider having that feature on the Publisher soon. BTW, I love the app, I was looking for a good software to format books and let me tell you that I'm happy that I have found you. I am not an expert and I am learning here a lot. I was reading another thread about the same topic but I lost it o0. Thank you to the members that have given us the references to PDF to EPUB converters, I'll try them.
