BirgitH Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Hey, I have several photos with an included path, but I cannot find it in Affinity photo. In Photoshop there is a "Studio" for paths. Where do I find this one in Affinity photo? Thanks for your help!! Quote
firstdefence Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 What format are the images in? The path would show as a curve layer If the image file is a compatible format for opening in Affinity. BirgitH Posted June 8, 2020 Author Posted June 8, 2020 They are all tif-files. Where would is see the curce layer? in the "normal" layer studio? Quote
Staff Lee D Posted June 28, 2020 Staff Posted June 28, 2020 The TIFF standard only handles flattened images, however it does allow for app developers to register additional tags for their own use. These tags are used to embed PSD layer data into a TIFF, in addition to the standard flattened image. We do a similar process with our TIFF export with Affinity layers. Since Affinity has a PSD importer, we are able to import the layer data from a TIFF if it has these tags available. However this process will have limitations as we will never fully replicate how PS loads and displays their files. If we are able to load the layers they will be visible on the Layers panel, otherwise it doesn't have the tags our importer is looking for. Quote
