Gokhan Eser Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Using the alignment in AF is complete torture. Please do this as practical and fast as Illustrator. I don't like this panel at all in AF.. I don't want to waste time doing this. I think many users complain about this situation. Ekran_Kaydı_2020-05-13_00_50_19.mov Quote
fde101 Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 For the most basic alignment tasks like that you can customize the toolbar and add those options directly rather than using the panel. They are also in the context menu and in the Layer menu, and you can assign keyboard shortcuts if you want from Preferences. Several of them also show up on the context toolbar when you are using the move tool. Quote

For example, I was able to continue with the last selected before but now this is not possible. Is there a way to align the object I want? Quote

First, look at the context toolbar (the one below the main toolbar that you opened the popup from): As another option, consider enabling alignment handles, using this button on that same context toolbar: This places an assortment of small arrow-shaped handles along various edges of selected objects: Combined with snapping, you can drag those handles to align the objects with other objects. Thank you for your help. The Alignment Handles is a good option in this regard. So is there a way to make it constantly active? I have to activate it in every new document. Quote

Noah84230 Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 I was about to create a new topic/post on this. Currently, the only way to use the Alignment settings is via the toolbar. I think it would be a great addition to also have it as a Studio panel (View → Studio). Quote

Never even noticed that - it really helps, thanks. Quote
