Affinity Publisher: Images into table cells?

I have created a table with several columns and rows and would like to insert a full-size image in each cell of the table.

Is there any way to do this directly without inserting individual picture frames into each cell?

Can you give us a bit more detail please?
Is there a way for you to show us a basic mock-up – doesn’t have to be neat – of what you want?

OP probably wants to load a bunch of images to Place Image Tool and insert each to corresponding table cell. I could not make it happen, inserting images to cells was copy paste only.

Another question is if placing to cells is really necessary, or if they could be placed and lined up normally.

Make image frame size same as cell size. Set cell insets to 0. Insert image frame.

You can do such with other objects and groups.
