MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Hi all, I recently started using the Affinity suite, and I love it! only issue I am having so far is when I try to export the attached file to pdf, as it pops up with the attached error (side note: would love if these errors pop up were more verbose!). I am able to export to SVG, and I was able to export another documento to pdf, so it may be something in this one. I already cleared out the pre-flight that had a few things in there (all yellow). Please help! ValenarProject.afpub Quote
GarryP Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Welcome to the forums. I was able to export the document as a PDF but I was missing some fonts – Lantinghei SC, Lantinghei TC and Nanum Brush Script – and resources – Cover Art, Product Logo, arrival, bkgMmaster, desert and rider. Maybe the problem is with one of these. Quote
MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) Thanks for the reply! What kind of problems would stop an export? resolution? Edited April 28, 2020 by MarcoMiki Quote
MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 I found which image was stopping the export! Thanks! What could be the cause so that I can fiddle with the image and make it work? Quote
Joachim_L Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 And what image was stopping the export? Could you post it here? Else it would be hard to find an answer for you. MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 Just now, Joachim_L said: And what image was stopping the export? Could you post it here? Else it would be hard to find an answer for you. Of course! Sorry for not thinking of that Quote

But exporting with non-PDF/X based methods works ok. Worth checking, at least. I could not see whether you had Type 1 fonts included but appeared as if you could have. Sorry for the ignorance, what is a type 1 font? Quote
Joachim_L Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 The export works fine with the image (simple PNG), but I haven't got the fonts installed, so maybe Lagarto is right on. Strange because removing the image allowed me to export... I will check the fonts after lunch, thanks! Quote
MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 is there any hard rule such as it has to be in the same folder? Quote
MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 Interestingly enough that is kind of the case here (though all pictures are). If I move everything to a different folder It will be fine right? I don’t have to redo the entire document Quote
MarcoMiki Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 thanks again, I will fiddle with this a bit later Quote
