ArchV Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Hi, How can I batch import PDFs with transparent backgrounds onto Affinity Photo. Previously, I have done this in Photoshop. Is there a way to do the same in Affinity Photo? I have exported AutoCAD drawings as PDFs (each PDF representing a layer). I want to import them to Affinity photo such that all the layers will be stacked and I can modify or render each layer to create an architectural rendering. Quote
Fixx Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 You can drag several PDFs to a Photo window. They will stack as embedded documents in layer palette. Each can be opened with double click for editing. Quote
ArchV Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) I tried what you said, and the PDFs have been stacked as embedded documents. Thank you so much! However, when I double click to open each for editing, they are pixelated and the selections I make, with the selection brush tool (I am assuming this is similar to magic wand in photoshop), have pixelated borders which are reflected in the main file with the embedded documents. Is there a way to fix this? Am I doing something wrong? Edited April 28, 2020 by ArchV Quote
Dan C Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Hi @ArchV, This isn't something I've seen happen previously and I'm not currently certain what's causing this. Could you please upload a copy of your document, so we can look into this for you? Many thanks in advance! Quote
