Update to 1.8.3

Recommended Posts

Downloaded update to 1.8.3 today and have tried installing it four times without success. Tried to re-install 1.8.2 but this failed also, and the Affinity Photo icon has disappeared from desktop.

Using Windows 10, recently updated, no additional drives or software since the last update to 1.8.2 which installed without a hitch. Tried downloading 1.8.3 update again but message "setup failed" appeared again after the rpogram said "installing".

At a loss at the moment, can anyone help please?

Thanks, Gerru

Please review the suggestions in the FAQ article at https://affin.co/WinSetupFailed which should help.

I suspect that, at this point, you'll need to use the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter, especially if the SetupUI.log file from your last installation attempt is complaining that it can't remove the old program. But it's probably worth working from the beginning and trying the simpler suggestions first.
