Hello😊

Is there a way to independently move the tips of the star that you find in the objects?

This star:

I saw that it works with Photoshop. Is it also possible with Affinity Photo?

Thanks a lot

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Johannes.txr.

On all of the shapes, you can only adjust the red nodes. So for that one, you have one outer node and one inner node you can adjust. The other nodes follow along to maintain the appropriate shape.

Hi @Johannes.txr

Indeed there is. The double star shape is what you could call an intelligent shape - a built in shape in Designer. It does what it does - and nothing more. To get full control over it you must convert it to a regular curve object. A normal, manual vector object.

Affinity Photo:

  • Form the double star shape to your liking and select it
  • Press Control + enter to convert it to curves (TIP: If you add the node tool to the Dock tools (View -> customize tools) you will get a convert to curves button in the horisontal toolbar when it is selected) (In Designer you can find it in Layer -> convert to curves).
  • Move the tips holding shift to "constrain drag" - keep the original angle

  • Not an Affinity user og forum user anymore. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.
