Miguelfr Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 (edited) Hi all, I'm an new affinity photo user but I know Photoshop well. Here is what I want to do. Let's say picture with a mouse on a desk. I just want the mouse without backgroud. I have already removed the background and now I want my image to have the minimum dimension. I can of course use the "crop" tool but it's manual. Is there a way to make a "crop" based on the current selection (to remove the maximum of the alpha layer)? I hope my explanations are clear. Thank you in advance. Miguelfr Posted April 17, 2020 Author Posted April 17, 2020 Thank you! I It wasn't working for me, hence my question. I just found out that I had to "flatten" the layer first. Quote

If you select a single pixel layer that you want to crop to its minimum dimensions, one quick way to do this is to CMD-click (Mac) on its thumbnail in the Layers panel. That automatically creates a 'marching ants' selection of its pixels. Use Edit > Copy or the keyboard shortcut to put that on the clipboard & then use File > New from Clipboard to create a new, minimum sized document. I don't know what the Windows equivalent to CMD-click for this is, but I am sure one of the Windows users will post that. Miguelfr Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 Thank you. This is another good way. The replacement for CMD on Mac is Control on windows. Quote
