Pilgren
Hi, I've recently bought the Affinity suite and I'm starting to play around with Publisher at the moment. I'm trying to get evenly spaced text within a text frame and I have tried to do this using the tab stops but this doesn't seem to work where some of the words are longer than others (see image below). Is there a quick way to have equal spaced words of different lengths?
Old Bruce
Hid and Welcome to the forums @Pilgren, Two quick ways to do this the first is to use a Paragraph attribute called Fully Justified text and spaces instead of tabs. Just drag the text frame out to the width you want and put a space between each word and have a paragraph return at the end of the line (after Contact). The other is to use individual Art Text frames for each word and then put Home on the Left side and Contact at the Right side and use the Move tool to select the four words and go to Layer > Alignment > Space Horizontal. And as is usual I have an image with the second example on the top, sigh. You can see that the Justified text is slightly different from the individual words, you'll have to decide what is best. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Wosven
Another option, using the same amount of spaces before spacing tabs:
Pilgren
Thanks both for the prompt replies, that's really helpful - I'm an absolute novice when it comes to this sort of thing!
