Lars Jensen Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 (edited) Totally new to Affinity and haven't done any graphic design in 5 years. Just bought the entire suite of software as it looks like a great alternative to the pricey Adobe CC suite. So far so good!!! Just got done "playing in the sandbox" and tried to save my work in Publisher. The "save" and "save as" icons are greyed out. I can export just fine but I want to be able to close out the program and shut down the computer. (Running a Mac, if that should make a difference.) Did a forum search and checked the FAQs and couldn't find anything relevant. Thanks in advance. Lars Edited April 7, 2020 by Lars Jensen Quote
firstdefence Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Welcome to the forum Lars, Do you have an embedded file open, if so just close the embedded files tab and any edits will be shown in the document the file has been embedded in. then you should be able to save. GarryP Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 In addition to what firstdefence said above, you cannot save or export any of the sample files; they are there to be played with and examined but not saved, for copyright/licensing reasons. Quote
Lars Jensen Posted April 8, 2020 Author Posted April 8, 2020 Thanks "firstdefence" and "GarryP!" Will give it a try. It's amazing how much I forgot over the last five years. Good to get back in the saddle. Quote
