Hello, I am researching the purchase of either an iPad Pro 12.9 or MacBook Air. What I would like to know is if the complete Affinity program is available on the iPad Pro 12.9 inch? Or is it like Photoshop or there are many elements which are Only available on a laptop or desktop?

There are three parts to the current Affinity Suite which are, Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. The first two are available on PC, MAC and iPad. Affinity Publisher is currently only available on PC and MAC, but is being developed for the iPad and I think I saw a quote they hope it will be available later this year, but obviously that would depend on successful testing of all features.

Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.5 on macOS 15.0 Beta Sequoia on M1 Mac Mini 16GB 1TB
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.5 on  Windows 10 Pro.  (revived !)
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 2.5 on M1 iPad Pro 11” on iPadOS beta 18(22A5326f)

There are some features available in Desktop version that don’t yet appear in iPad versions (import a palette, or write a macro immediately come to mind), but they are likely to be added at some stage. In general, anything you can do on the desktop version you can do on the iPad. You can export macros from desktop and import to use on the iPad. You can export documents (with Pallettes attached) from Deskktop and open into iPad. These are just a couple of examples but show workarounds are generally available to cover the few missing features. Once you’ve used an Apple Pencil on a Pros screen to edit pixels, you won’t miss a mouse. Oh that’s right, now  mouse works on iPad too. 😁
In contrast iPad Photoshop is a pale shadow of its desktop version.

M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB   lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Affinity Design 1.10.5
Affinity Publisher 2, Affinity Designer 2, Affinity Photo 2 and betas.
