quisch Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) It's been a long time since I've edited photos. I just installed the update and now I can't seem to do the resizing the way I used to, then "save for web" when converting and editing from raw files. Am I missing something? I believe I used to go into the FILE drop down menu and do both tasks from there. Sorry I can't be more clear on my issue. It is possible that I'm remembering the PS way to save files. Basically I want to be able to have a JPEG which I can post to facebook which isn't a huge file. Thanks for any advice. Edited April 4, 2020 by quisch add info Quote
GarryP Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 It sounds like you need to use one of the Export functions, either menu “File → Export” or by using the Export Persona (Designer and Photo only). If neither of these is what you want then we might need more information about what you are trying to do. Quote
quisch Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Thank you for the reply! I have tried that and it seems to be the way to do it. Do you know if the "affinity" photo save is generally a much larger file? Like RAW? Or similar to JPEG sizing? I would be more likely to save as afphoto if that were the case and if they didn't have that irritating affinity icon in the thumbnail of the photo. Quote

More like RAW. It is a lot larger than you would expect, I have learned to live with it because of the usefulness of what the Affinity file format offers. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
quisch Posted April 4, 2020 Author Posted April 4, 2020 Good to know. Thank you! I'm still new to Affinity and had not used it for months. Quote
