Text runs out of the text frame

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,
Unfortunately, I noticed that if I have a text with excess length, it runs out of the text frame at the bottom instead of being hidden at the bottom and marked with an overflow character, so that it can then be continued with a frame chain in another frame .
Even if I use the placeholder text, I have the problem when I reduce the height of the frame.

Which Affinity application are you using?
This is normal behaviour in Designer and Photo, neither of which have the text frame chaining functionality of Publisher.
Filler Text shouldn’t ‘spill out’ of the bottom of the frame unless you have expanded the field.
You can make a text frame automatically size to the text it contains by double-clicking one of the non-corner frame handles.

Or chosen the Preference to insert filler as normal text on the General panel.
