Joham Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 When I try to deselect nodes in Affinity Designer, holding Ctrl is not working for me. When I hold Ctrl the minus symbol in the node tool icon doesn't appear. Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 1, 2020 Staff Posted April 1, 2020 Hi Joham, Welcome to Affinity Forums Are you running macOS or Windows? On macOS, you have to press and hold CTRL and draw a marquee around the selected nodes to remove them from the selection. On Windows you have to press and hold the right and left mouse button simultaneously, draw a marquee around the selected nodes and release the left mouse button to remove them from the selection. Joham Posted April 2, 2020 Author Posted April 2, 2020 I'm running Windows. Thank you very much, that worked. Quote

Old Bruce Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Argghh... can't edit my mistake in the above. I think you mean Command. That is my experience. Staff MEB Posted April 2, 2020 Staff Posted April 2, 2020 Hi Old Bruce, No, it's ctrl. You should see a minus sign appear near the cursor as soon as you press and hold it, then drag the marquee around the nodes you want to deselect (on macOS). Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Old Bruce Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Okay, I have been (mis)reading at cross purposes I thought we were selecting using the Pen tool, not the Node tool.
