kentsor Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 My old DSLR has a completely wonky color correction balance from one picture to the next. For example the two attached images, one 5147 is much too red, then 5150 is perfect. Since some of the same items are visible in both images, is there a way to get Photo to tell you what correction are needed, to make for example the colors of the apron, shelves or something else from one image match another ? Thanks in advance Kent Quote
Staff Lee D Posted April 1, 2020 Staff Posted April 1, 2020 You have the Auto White Balance option on the toolbar and in Filters > Colour but no feature that will indicate the difference compared the another, it's more of a manual process. Quote
Granddaddy Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 I have similar problems with white balance and color casts on scans of 40-year-old Kodachrome slides that have faded and drifted from the original colors. The Info Panel can be helpful in making such white balance and color adjustments as described by this InAffinity tutorial "Accurate White Balance Using the Info Panel in Affinity" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcNpK941_yk Perhaps stealing color grading from an image you like also works. I've never tried this technique from Affinity Revolution. Quote Affinity Photo 2.5.5 (MSI) and 1.10.6; Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 (MSI) and 1.10.6. Windows 10 Home x64 version 22H2.
