I purchased Photo from the App Store back in 2015.

Since recently receiving an email to advise of the 1.8 update, I waited patiently for weeks for it to show up on the app store updates, but so far, nothing.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Assuming you mean the Mac App Store (MAS), I had to use CMD+R to refresh the Updates tab before the 1.8 updates would show. Some users have had to sign out & back into the MAS for this to work, or to go to the Purchases tab, or some combination of these  to see & download them.

Also, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used when you purchased the apps.

Hi Russjb,

If R C-R's suggestions don't solve this for you then you will need to contact Apple Customer Support regarding this as we have no control over the App Store I'm afraid.

Thanks

Thanks so much to you both. R C-R got me on the right track. Strangely, although my installed version of Photo was running normally, when I clicked the Purchases tab in the App Store, it showed the Install button and when I clicked this, it magically installed the newer version. Problem solved! Thanks again.
