Creating new pages takes time with Affinity Publisher

 

I am using Japanese environment 18.0.584. Creating or moving a page takes several minutes. Do you know why? Even files saved on SSD are slow ...

Creating new pages should, in most cases, have an almost instant effect and should not take several minutes. I don’t have any really big documents but it’s never taken more than a fraction of a second to create new pages for me.
Moving pages should be just as fast but if you have a lot of linked text frames that might cause some slow-down if the text had to be re-linked to frames on different pages.
If this problem persists then you may need to give the team a sample document to experiment with.
