Carel
As said in the title: after I had looked for a plugin by means of the preferences, as described in the Help topic, and starting the program again because of a change all of a sudden the language after starting again had changed in Chinese instead of English. Unfortunately I don't read Chinese and I don't know how to change the language now. I allready tried to install the program, again but the language stays Chinese. Who can help me? markw
In the 'General' section of AP's preferences, which language dose the app say it is using? If not English, can you change it to English? Carel
If a person can answer my question, the best thing to do is: open the Preferences, (I know where that is) go to the xth rule, open it and look for a text with an Arrow next to it and choose (probably the first possibility = English) and click on it. Carel
HI Mark, Thanks for your answer, but I don't recognise the menu. It is probably not the preference menu in Affinity Photo in the upper left corner. Can you tell me where I can find it.

markw
If you are having difficulty in locating Preferences from the Menubar now that the app is in Chinese, the standard key shortcuts for accessing Preferences are; Mac: Command + comma ⌘+, Windows: Control + comma Ctrl+, My previous screenshots are of the ‘General’ settings section in Affinity Photo’s Preferences. But I forgot that the Preferences window will open on the “page” that was last being used when it was last closed, so you may have to navigate back to the starting page to find the ’General’ icon button. After clicking the ‘General’ icon indicated here, follow my previous instructions to reset the language. Carel
Hi Haakoo and Markw, The Problem is, if I start Affinity Photo from scratch, I only see one menubar instead of the two I see at Haakoo. If I click on Edit and the last line I get the emoticons and not the Preferences and General settings. If you don't mind Markw I continue in Dutch to ask Haakoo how I can get the double menubar. Of course you can answer me in English, but I can be more specific in Dutch.

Carel
Gentlemen, Both thanks. Hakoo's last instruction was quite clear to me and within a few seconds the language was English again. Markw the problem was: I did'nt know the meaning of the word commer and I couldn't find it in a dictionary. I regurarely am in Canada or in the States and I always use dot. Commer actualy I don't use. I never had any problem not using it. Now I learned a new word and I'll never forget it more. markw
markw
Glad to hear it’s back to normal for you😎 Actually I just looked back and saw that I had misspelled comma! (I’ve corrected it now). No wonder you were confused. Sorry about that! Carel
That"s a word I recognise. It's the same word in Dutch. It's stupid I didn't think of it en that it just was a normal typing mistake.
