1.8 Affinity Designer Windows Glitches

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to check if other people are experiencing any of the following difficulties -

Boolean operations producing a crazy amount of nodes on the resulting shape, far more than in previous versions, even on quite simple shape additions, etc.

The cursor disappearing after you make adjustments to global colour values - e.g you've set up some global colours and double click on the document swatch, you adjust the RGB values and then, boom, your cursor has vanished and doesn't reappear until you restart.

Objects moving slightly when you try to double click on them to go straight into  moving nodes with the node tool (I've mentioned this before, but it's so frequent I can't believe nobody else is having this issue)

Ok so here's an attempt at an upload but it's not showing the app's menus which doesn't help/  As you can see/guess I go to one of the global colours and type in a new RGB hex value.  First time it works ok, next time the cursor subsequently disappears and can only be seen by holding CTRL.

Sorry that's not much help but I hope you get the gist of the problem

Where do you type this? This video is not really helpful as we can't see what's going on off screen. Can you attach a screen recording that illustrates the issue with all panels on the same screen so we see what's going on? Or, give us the step-by-step instructions.

Sorry, I didn't expect the recording to not include the menus - I used the xbox game recorder included with Windows 10.  Anyway, when you click on the SWATCHES tab you see recent colours.  Below this there's a pull down menu and I go to DOCUMENT (having already created some global colours).  I then double click on one of those global colours and you get a box allowing you to adjust the colour.  This includes another pull down and I choose RGB HEX Colours and then there's the 3 bars and below that a space to type in the full RGB HEX value (it's just got a # next to it) and I type in my value and then, more often that not, the cursor magically vanishes.  It seems to be more prone to do it if you take a few extra seconds to type the value.

Hope that helps.
