Montecristobal Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 I cannot install the new update (1.8) of Designer on Windows 10. The installation stops in the middle because it doesn't find Affinity.msi I could not uninstall the previous version either from inside Windows, so I removed it by other means through Microsoft fixer on their website. Now, version 1.8 of Designer does not install at all and stops right after launching. Please help. Do you mean that the installer quits right after launching? If so, since earlier the installation could not find Affinity.msi, possibly you have a corrupted or incomplete download of the installer file. You might try downloading it again from the Downloads & Product Keys section of your account at the Affinity Store. Dan C Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Hi Montecristobal, Welcome to the forums As Walt has asked, have you been able to install the 1.8 update and this crashes when launching the app - or is the installer crashing when trying to install 1.8? If it's the latter, we'll need a copy of your installer log. Please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK: %temp%\AffinitySetup In the window that opens, please select the most recently created folder, then attach SetupUI.log to your reply here. Many thanks in advance! Quote
