Ken MacAllister Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 I work for a company that uses a font called Proxima Nova for absolutely everything. Over the past 6 months I have created hundreds of Designer files using this font family, and it's always worked fine. This morning, I'm trying to edit one of these files, and Proxima Nova no longer loads in the font menu. All of my other applications can see and use this font but Designer can't - which literally makes the app unusable for me. I have restarted Designer several times. I attached a screenshot and you can see I have selected a text block that used to be in Proxima Nova font, and the font now just appears with a question mark beside it. Please let me know if you have any ideas on how to fix this - otherwise I'll have to stop using your software and switch to something else. Thanks. Quote
Staff Callum Posted February 24, 2020 Staff Posted February 24, 2020 Hi Ken MacAllister, Please could you try going to Preferences > Miscellaneous > Reset Fonts to see if this solves your issue? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Matt_TaiChi Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Hi I'm having the same problem. I was using Proxima and although it's installed on my Mac it isn't available on my Font list. I've tried resetting fonts as above. Any suggestions? Quote
Old Bruce Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 It may be a Post Script version as opposed to a True Type version. You would need the True Type. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
