Smee Again Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Haven't installed any custom assets at all for Publisher (unlike Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer that I've loaded down with brushes, etc.). On either my desktop or laptop, Publisher takes most of 5 minutes before it is ready for me to open a document or start a new one. In the time it takes Publisher to load on my desktop, I can open both Photo and Designer on a 10 year old Toshiba Laptop with only 4 gigs of memory and onboard video . . . and I'm still waiting for Publisher to finish on the desktop. Both machines are running Windows 10 pro, but the desktop has 8 gigs of ram and a dedicated video card. Takes even longer to load on my laptop when I need it at work -- sometimes I think it's never going to finish loading. Is there a way to speed this up? Could it be that both installs (laptop and desktop) are corrupted? Quote
Staff Lee D Posted February 19, 2020 Staff Posted February 19, 2020 If you haveĀ a lot of fonts installed, this can sometimes cause apps to open slower as the fonts have to be loaded, but this would also effect Photo and Designer. Try resetting the app back to default settings to see if that has any effect. Hold down the CTRL key and open Publisher, when the window appears, release the key and click Clear. If this doesn't make a different perhaps consider an uninstall, restart of the system and a reinstall. Quote
