Affinity Designer: Object alignment impractical.

I find object alignment in Affinity Designer impractical. For example, you have a small rectangle and you want to position this rectangle in the middle of a larger rectangle on a large presentation. Unfortunately both rectangles move towards each other and meet in the middle. But I want the small rectangle to be positioned in the middle of the large rectangle. The big rectangle should stay on its position.

Is there a setting that only the first selected object is moved to the second selected object and positioned accordingly centered?
