I have used Affinity Designer for a couple of years, but when I opened it the other day I realized I can no longer Open files from Designer. I also can not import photos/graphics from the sidebar. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum,

Is this any Designer .afdesign file or just some files?

Do you have a file that you cannot open that can be uploaded to see if we can open it?

What Operating System are you using and which version of Affinity Designer are you using?

Are you saying the options to open and import are missing or they don't work when you try to use them?  If it's the latter, what happens when you try?

The problem was that I could click Affinity Designer>Files>Open and nothing would happen. The same thing happened when I tried to import photos/graphics from the sidebar .... nothing would appear. Usually, a screen for my docs would automatically open up. Everything is now working. I was having a problem at the same time with iTunes suddenly not being enabled on my phone and for some strange reason, when I solved that problem, Affinity started working again. Thanks for responding. It is good to know that when I have problems, there is help available.
