Shi-Chi Posted January 27, 2020 Share Posted January 27, 2020 Hi~ I placed an embedded layer to my document and tried to use it as a mask at the same time. But the shape layer I selected to put in this embedded layer cannot be masked by its parent. Is this a bug? Therefore I think that perhaps you don't actually have the layer in the proper location to act as a mask. Perhaps you have clipped it as a child layer instead. If you can make a screenshot of your workspace and include the Layers panel that will be helpful. Now that you've made your first post it's possible you will be able to attach a .jpg or .png screenshot for us to look at. If you can't attach the screenshot yet, perhaps you could say a bit more about what actually happens. Thanks. The AAA layer is an embedded layer. BBB is the layer that I want to clip to the embedded layer. As you can see, the embedded layer doesn't work like a mask. I want the embedded layer works like a mask to the blue layer and still shows the rest of the pattern. Basically, I want the result looks like this.
