Using the latest Affinity photo on Mac.

I am wondering if it's possible to add e.g. the .jpg file extension to the filename by default when exporting. Currently I have to manually add the extension to the filename with every export action, in order to use the file on websites (which is what I do mostly) or send the files to Windows or Linux users.

Maybe the answer is on this forum already, but I haven't been able to find it.

Hello Evert and welcome to the Affinity forums:)
In Photo’s preferences go to General and un-tick ‘Automatically Hide Extension’.

I have 'been' there, but apparently overlooked this option.

No worries, it happens to all of us at one time or another!:$

Note that this does not affect the file itself, only if the extension is displayed, for example in the Mac Finder. Ticked or unticked, the file includes the appropriate extension.
