Demitri Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 (edited) Hi, I'm a new Designer user and have been creating documents for print. The output is required to be purely vector-based. My first document, exported to EPS worked well, but when I exported the second one significant parts are being rasterized. I opened the exported EPS in Illustrator and saw the areas rendered as images. These could be deleted individually and the (correct) vector versions simply lay underneath. I came across the "more" options in the export dialog and forced the "Rasterize" popup to "nothing", and that worked as expected (no rasterized areas). I came across other threads on the forum and can say that I am not using any blending, clipping, or fx anywhere. The entire document was created from scratch in Designer. I exported the same file to PDF and my print service had no problem with that. I'd be happy to upload the file, but prefer not to post it publicly as it contains personal information. Demitri Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 Thanks! Is there a place I can provide the file without posting it publicly? It contains personal information. Quote
Demitri Posted December 16, 2019 Author Posted December 16, 2019 Hi, I redacted the personal details and am posting the file I had a problem with as well at the EPS from export. In the design there are three long "cards" and three square ones. In the EPS, the long cards were exported with a layer that is a rasterized image. This can be seen if the EPS file is opened in Designer (or Illustrator). If you move/delete that layer, the vector versions are underneath. The behavior is not seen in the square cards. Cheers, Demitri schedule insert demo.afdesign schedule insert demo.eps Quote
Joachim_L Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 There is one curve in each long card with no fill, no stroke colour, but a stroke width of 1,5pt and a opacity of 40%. Turn the opacity to 100% or remove the curve if possible. After doing so, nothing will be rasterized. schedule insert demo-corr.afdesign Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
