Instant crash with this particular document

Recommended Posts

After reporting a previous error related to Publisher becoming non-responsive, I started recreating my work from scratch.
This time with absolutely no  "learning by doing" or messing about.

The only thing I know I might have done related to other reported bugs is to reorder a couple of pages at some point, but my experience is somewhat different..

Sometime between saving the document (apparently successfully) and preparing to draw a line, Publisher v.1.7.3 crashes instantly.
When restarting and trying to reopen the document, it crashes again. No error messages or any visual indication what the problem might be.
The same happens with the latest beta.

If there's anything you can do in the short term to get the document to a stable state, and also indicate the cause so I won't try the same again , please help.
I really need to get this work done, hopefully I'll be able to do so without any further software issues.

Thanks,

Anders

Hi Anders,

I've passed this on to our development team, this looks like an issue we know about which should be fixed in the 1.8 beta (it won't stop the file crashing on open, but it shouldn't be possible to get a file into this state in the beta) - I would suggest using the beta from now on to avoid this happening again.

I'll pass the file back to you if we can fix it.

Thanks
