Hi.

So I'm a newbie when it comes to Affinity publisher, intact I have never used any type of publishing software ever. So I'm creating a zine. The affinity file is at 4.7mb yet when I export it as PDF it comes to 65mb. The DPI rate is 300. Do I need to reduce anything. I'm using Digital photo files.

Hi @rizali67,

Welcome to the forum.

Are you using the exported PDF file to professionally print your zine or are you going to send the PDF file out digitally for readers to view om their computers.

When you have selected "prefer linked" in image placement policy (menu>document setup), the Affinity file could be small. But when you export it to pdf, images are embedded, so the file size can be large especially if you use lot of images with 300dpi resolution.
