When using Designer on a Mac I often need to compile a list and I'd prefer to have one line start right under the next line by default when I hit return. The default behaviour seems to be that it will insert a extra blank line unless I use shift+return. Is there any way to alter the default behaviour?

Its ok, I found out how to do it using the 'Ignore space for same styles' checkbox (although I'd still like this checked by default).

Hi @Jaya72,

welcome to the forum.

I think it may make more sense to alter the space after the paragraph to the same value as the line spacing. You then can save this as a seperate paragraph style just for that kind of listing (and spare the 'Ignore space' setting).

To have 'Ignore space for same styles' as a default would cause a lot of irritation for many users (in my opinion).
