Hi,

I was on 1.6.x Designer for some time and everything was fine, until all the sudden it was launching into a blank screen with only the ad/news box in the center. Then I upgraded to the latest 1.7.3 version and it's still doing the same thing. It appears that the app is running fine in the background, just not rendering/showing. I can still hover the cursor on different areas to show the tooltips. I am on surface pro 4 with all the latest windows updates installed.

I've tried launching both as admin and normal user as well.

I've posted this to the bugs forum a few days ago, but still no response, really need to use the app, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, doesn't work either, just gets stuck on the launch screen showing Affinity Designer 1.7.3.481. Waited for almost 10minutes still can't see the 'loading fonts' that usually appears under the version number.

@MAtomz Can you check to see if you have any of the listed third party apps running on your system, one of these may be causing the issue, check for Duet Display as that causes a similar issue.  If you have none of those installed, check to make sure you have the very latest graphic drivers installed.

@Lee D Thank you, uninstalling Duet Display solved the problem! Although I had the latest version 1.5.3.3 installed. Also just turning off/exit duet display in the system tray didn't seem to work either. Had to uninstall it for Affinity Designer/Photo to work. :)
