Henry the first
Dear all, it is possible to vectorize bitmap images in Affinity designer, if yes, under which menu item can i find the application? Best regards Henry
v_kyr
There is no automatic build-in vectorization feature in AD, thus you have to vectorize manually (redraw on a slightly dimmed and locked background image), or use some third party vectorization tool like ... Inkscape (Win + Mac) SuperVectorizer (Mac) Vectorize (Mac) Potrace + Potrace GUI (Mac + Win) Autotrace (Mac + Win) etc. Patrick Connor and nadjagermany 1 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.

nadjagermany
A Vectorization-tool ist something I miss a lot since I quit Illustrator and switched to AD. Hope this will be part of an update ...
v_kyr
There are also Webbrowser add-ons like: Image Vectorizer (Convert to SVG) which seems to be based on imagetracerjs, though I haven't tried it out so far and thus can't say if it does a halfway good tracing job.
