oap_mobile
Hi all, newbie here. I really struggle to resize my photo. I shoot in 3:2 as my camera don't have a 1:1 option. I need to resize to 1:1 for Instagram posts. I tried everything but my photos come out distorted. How do I do this? Please help....
John Rostron
You need the Crop tool before you resize. Try searching for "Crop square photo". John Rostron
Select the crop tool from the toolbox on the left (default position). From the Context bar, select Mode: Custom Note that you can enter any two identical values into the size boxes. You will be changing these next. You can then adjust the size of your crop by dragging on the corner handles (not those on the sides). Note that this will not change the numbers in the boxes above, but using the corner handles will maintain the square aspect ratio. When you have the crop to your liking, you can then press Enter. If you wish to resize, then you can now use Document > Resize without unlocking the aspect ratio. The Lock icon between the two dimensions should look like this . If you change the pixel value in x then y will automatically change. John oap_mobile 1 Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo).
