Designer123
I am trying to print from Affinity photo to a Canon Pro 10 printer on a Mac running Catalina. I am not sure from tests that I have done that Affinity photo is able to control the print. My procedure is as follows: 1) Select print from APh 2) In the print dialogue box select ColorSync and then icc for paper. 3) can select other items necessary. I suspect that APh has handed over the file to the Mac OS to do the printing? A kind of hands off approach? Problem is that there is no rendering intent selection. I hope I am wrong on this as Photoshop is providing more control over the printing and I would hate to have to go back to photoshop. If anyone could help me out here, it would be much appreciated. Staff stokerg Posted October 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 30, 2019 Hi Designer123, This has come up before and as confirmed by Dan on this link we don't have that option and hook into the Printer Driver and MacOS print settings. I know the Dev team have plans to work on the Print side of things, so this should change at some stage.
Designer123
Thanks Stokerg Until such time as the Dev team improve the printing power of APh, do you have any recommended workarounds? I am currently trying to understand what I can control and where. Thanks
