marseillan
Hi, I'm just starting out with Affinity and am trying to solve how to keep my mac menubar visible while using Affinity in full page format. Perhaps it's a Mac issue but would appreciate if anyone can help. Thanks.
markw
Hello marseillan and welcome to the Affinity forums As with other Mac apps, the Mac Menubar will always disappear, along with the Dock, when you enter Fullscreen mode in any of the three Affinity apps. This is just how macOS works. When in Fullscreen mode, if you move your cursor to the top edge of the screen, the Mac Menubar will pop open so you can access it. R C-R
An alternative to Full Screen Mode that does not hide the Dock or menubar you might find useful is to option click on the Green 'traffic light' window control widget at the top left of the window. This will expand the window to the full width & height of the display, less what is needed to keep the Dock & menubar visible. This is just like the old "Maximize" function of the green button of the classic Mac OS before Apple switched to OSX. As explained in this Apple document, this also is a standard macOS feature. marseillan
It took me a while to find my way back to my question - I'm new to the Forum as well. The option click on the green maximize button works perfectly. Thanks so much.
