  1. Hi, i tried to convert 20+ photos with the batch processing feature. I left the checkbox for "parallel processing" checked. The processing run forever and my only option was to kill affinity photo V2 over the task manager. I used a self created macro which generally added all four "Auto processing" features (Auto white balance, Auto colors, Auto levels, AUto contrast). To reproduce: 1.) Open New batch job 2.) Add photos 3.) Leave parallel processing checked 4.) Add the newly generated Macro described above 5.) choose jpeg as output format 6.) Choose a different folder for storage 7.) Hit Ok --> Baaaaam the operation runs forever and produces no output If the checkbox "parallel processing" will be unchecked the processing works. Here is my system info (unforunately only in german...): Prozessor AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core Processor 4.10 GHz Installierter RAM 64,0 GB Systemtyp 64-Bit-Betriebssystem, x64-basierter Prozessor Stift- und Toucheingabe Für diese Anzeige ist keine Stift- oder Toucheingabe verfügbar. 2. I am looking for, but not finding, an equivalent to Mac Pages' Arrange/Distribute Objects Evenly. The closest action in Publisher is to Duplicate then move the duplicated line to desired position. Further iterations will replicate the spacing, BUT if I need to adjust or add to the grouping later I need to start all over. In Pages, any time you want to rearrange the lines you place the first and last where you want them, select all the lines, then Arrange/Distribute Objects Evenly/Vertical (or Horizontal or Evenly, depending upon the orientation and desired arrangement), and no matter how many lines are between the first and last they are spaced evenly between those two. [MacBook Pro, OS 10.11.6]
  3. I have the same problem like in this YouTube tutorial for Adobe Illustrator: Is there a way to do this in a convenient and practical way in AD? Just copy past and centre it is not the right wat. I want to make borders for a country map with two colors. Can anyone helping met with solving this?
  4. hi, i dont know if you have seen sketching in fusion 360, but might worth taking a look - i would love to see a system like this in affinity designer Fusion 360: Sketch Constraints anyways keep up your great work best regards Reinhard
  5. Using 'stroke' and 'expand stroke' from layers menu is so close to being useful as a parallel lines tool commonly found in CAD programmes. For it to be far more useful however would require the (straight) lines created to be removable and editable, which then leads on to there being an edit polygon tool. Notice also that for a stroke to appear either side of a line whilst drawing, a polygon must first be 'closed'. If being used as a potential parallel line tool then consideration could also be given to addressing this. Probably way off where you are going with this incredibly useful alternative to illustrator, however this facility would really open up the application to many more users I am sure. I am an ex (for many years) CAD user (not the other monolithic app (AutoCad as opposed to Photoshop) route but what was an excellent app - MiniCad which became yet another 'mad' app called 'VectorWorks'. However I think Affinity Designer is the business, with massive potential. Many thanks. Geoff
  6. Greetings to the forum, I've been using the trial versions of both Designer and Photo until yesterday when I purchased both full versions .. INCREDIBLY AWESOME replacements to the big cumbersome apps of the past. But .. I have a question. I'm using Designer to work on a .pdf file which has now been saved as an .afdesign file, and there are 'many many' layers. The program felt a little slow while I was doing a move, and Designer locked up fo a while ... so while waiting I checked in my Activity Monitor to see whether I was running out of RAM (6 total, only using 4, not ideal but not bad), then did a terminal: "top -n 10 -o cpu" to see how busy the CPU was .. I saw that no matter what was going on, Affinity Designer was never using more than 100%, which was a little ODD .. I have an 8 core 2008 Mac Pro, which while admittedly old, usually shows most programs using 500 or 600% when they start to get thirsty for processing power like this. I'd like to know if Designer is able to use multiple CPU cores, and if so, what's going on with my setup? (EDIT: Just noticed that sometimes it uses more than one core (saw some 455% here and there), but when it's doing a big move of curves, Designer only uses 1 core .. does this make sense?) I have a Mac Pro 3,1 2 x 2.8 ghz Quad-Core Xeon .. running the latest of ElCapitan 10.11.1 I only have 6 gigs of 800 mhz DDR2 installed as they're crazy expensive still due to all the cooling and mac certification etc.
  7. Hi, I want to use these 3 parallel lines to create curves and shapes - and remain parallel at all times. Is it possible in AD yet? Illustrator lets you do it by creating a custom brush. Freehand let you add multiple strokes to a vector to create the same effect. Can't see to figure this out in AD. S
