  1. I can turn of snapping and do it manually but I'm wondering whether I'm doing this the right way: with a text decoration and an indent of -7.8 I'm trying to learn best practices (something I've not done for many many other applications!) Affinity_Snapping.mov
  2. When I add a Top Paragraph Decoration and increase the Distance To Text it comes nearer to the text. Also, when I add a Bottom Paragraph Decoration and increase the Distance To Text it comes nearer to the text. Shouldn’t the distance to the text increase when the value increases, i.e. Distance Away From Text? The current orientation doesn’t seem right to me.
  3. Windows 10 Home, Publisher 1.7.3.481. I’ve been playing around with the Transparency setting in the Paragraph Studio Decorations Section and can’t figure out what it does or how to use it. I set a Decoration to Fill, then gave the decoration a solid fill of colour (looks as I would expect), then tried modifying the Transparency setting but I can’t see much happening except for the Opacity. The same goes when I use a Gradient Fill. I can change the Opacity of the whole fill – that works okay – but the colour part of the dialog doesn’t seem to affect anything, no matter which colour picker I choose. The Help doesn’t really tell me much about what it’s supposed to do: “Transparency—click the swatch to display a pop-up panel. See the Gradient editing topic for more information on the settings available.” Can anyone explain this please? For instance, why would a Transparency setting let me choose a colour, and what should I expect it to do?
  4. Windows 10 Home 1903, Publisher 1.7.2.471. I have a decoration in a paragraph style which doesn’t allow for the text wrap settings of the layer it is near to. See attached GIF to see how the decoration goes behind the image. The decoration is in the right place related to the text but the decoration isn’t being spaced from the image layer properly (which would force the text farther to the right). I’ve also attached images showing some settings. Have I got something wrong or is this a bug?
  5. I have some text styles for popout text box with a background fill that spans the column. I would like to break up the content with a empty paragraph that has the background fill that spans the column and a line decoration. So I took my "box" style with the background fill, duplicated it and named it "box break". Between paragraphs of "box" I have paragraphs of "box break", but the empty box break paragraphs are not getting the background decoration. Am I missing a trick here? I have tried inserting other whitespace characters to no effect. As soon as I do add a character the decoration fills.
  6. When using multiple decorations for a style you can not access the second decoration from the pull down menu. It is fine when first creating the second decoration but once you save and get out of the style editor and then go back to edit it later you can not access the other decorations.
  7. My question is, if there is a way to define a heading style, that will draw a line allower the paragraph size. At the moment, if i use decorations, the line is drawed only where is text. Another great possibility would be, if i can define the underline line margins to left and right, even in negative numbers. The result what i want to achieve is in attachment - the gray line is generated automaticky with the headline, and its over borders of text flow box, from side to side of the paper...
