  1. Serious Color Management Issue I went back immediately to 2.1.1 for the whole suite because on the very first minute of work I came across a serious color management issue. Wrong profiles are used (or pretended to be used) even the app wide color setting has been changed. I can't work at all if I can't know for sure which profile I'm using. 2. In Affinity Apps the default CMYK is "U.S. Web Uncoated v2". In Europe, ISO Coated v2 or older FOGRA profiles are predominantly used. In recent years, I've manually added the ISO profiles after each update upgrade and saved them in the settings, without having opened any file. In version 2.2 of all apps, the profile is not saved. Not in the settings of the apps, and not in the settings of a file. I've tried by saving the ICC profiles in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ and /Applications/Affinity Designer.app/Contents/Resources After closing / reopening a file, the profile is no longer available. Is there perhaps a new way of dealing with profiles? Serif Team: For Europe, for European companies, please add the ICC profiles. A must for pros.
  3. It is not possible for me to change my working colour space to an „ECI" working colour space. No matter what I do in the central settings, it only ever happens to access the "US Swap" working colour space. Even though when I do change to another colour setting - I always get back to the standard one, pre-installed by Affintiy. Any help? Thanks in advance. Heiko
  4. Affinity Designer 2.2.0 Update - Bug ICC Farbprofile lassen sich im Dokument nicht abspeichern / umwandeln, sie springen immer auf - Japan Color 2002 Coated - zurück.
  5. After updating to the newest version 2.2.0 of Designer on macOS there is no possibility to change the color profil. See video. In setting the default profil for cmyk is ISO coated v2. If I create a new document in Designer and the profile is ISO newspaper26v4. If I would like to change the color Profile to ISO coated v2 it always jumps back to ISO newspaper. No chance to change it. Have I done something wrong? Can someone help me? Affinity Desinger version 2.2.0 (newest version), MacPro OS 13.5.2 Color Profil change_0.mp4
  6. Hi, I create the first file in publisher, set the color profile to ISOCoatedV2(ECI). The second file I open an existing one, which has a different profile, so I also choose ISOCoatedV2(ECI) to ensure that both files have the same profile before copying elements. I'm choosing the assign method instead of convert. From the second file, I copy the elements, paste them into the first file, and contrary to expectations, the colors are converted. It should be: - if the files have the same color profile, the colors of the copied elements should not be converted. I work on complex files and it is very important to me that the colors are not converted.
  7. Since the release of Affinity 2.2, our team has identified an issue with the apps correctly reading externally installed ICC profiles. As part of the 2.2 update, we implemented a fix to attempt to better handle ICC profiles that contain accented characters in their name, and this seems to have had an unexpected knock-on effect for other installed ICC profiles that don't include such characters - though it does not affect all installed ICC profiles. When setting a documents colour profile through Document Setup > Colour, you may find that the selected Colour Profile isn't retained, does not appear in the list, appears more than once in the list, or the profile name applied does not match the expected results of the profile. The failure to correctly understand these profiles/profile names causes the Profile list to appear in the incorrect order in-app for some users, and when selecting one of these profiles the app may silently fall back to a previously selected/default profile, causing any of the above reported issues to occur. Our team are aware of this issue and we're working to resolve this as soon as possible. Currently the suggested workaround is to revert back to the previous update, 2.1.1, if required. If you are still experiencing issues regarding this, please create a New Thread and our team will be happy to assist.
  8. I have several icc profiles from an online Print Service that I have used in the past. There are 4 profiles for C type and 7 for Giclee. All in attached zip I copied these files into Windows/System32/spool/drivers/color Capture One shows them all for soft proofing. Affinity (latest version) does not show all - for c type it only offers me the Fuji Pearl. Can anyone try them and tell me if they have same issue please. FYI the Profiles are from https://www.theprintspace.co.uk/ I have rebooted re started Affinity etc all the usual stuff PrintSpaceProfiles.zip
