  1. Hi, I'm trying to export @3x slices but for some reason it's not working. I get a warning sign saying the resolution is too low for @2x export (which works), but not @3x. Any idea what's going on? Cheers,
  2. Due to the amazing response on this thread ended up writing an article about this character and a kind of review of Affinity Designer. http://luispedrofonseca.com/new-tool-new-character/ Once again, thanks everyone! More information about my game coming soon. :)
  3. Thank you all so much! Wasn't expecting such a good reaction. :) É bem verdade. Parece que ainda somos alguns por aqui. Portugueses na linha da frente no afundanço da Adobe! :P I'm using the incredible Spine by EsotericSoftware. Take a look, it's pretty amazing!
  4. Hey, Just did a new character for my game (Project Cuba) using Affinity. She's the wife of the guy on the left. :) My style for this game involves adding highlights/shadows areas and the "auto-masking" makes it a breeze. I honestly think it took me less than a 1/3 of the other character mostly because of this feature! Hope you like it! :)
  5. Yeah, I find this particular aspect a bit confusing to be honest but I'm sure you guys will figure out something more intuitive :) Regarding Project Cuba, glad you liked it! I recently did a new character using AD and it was SO much faster! A blog post is coming soon about it ;)
  6. It does! Thank you! Just one more question... How do I set the "Document Defaults"? To me always goes to no line with grey fill. Is it possible to set this?
  7. That works but seems a bit confusing to me. I think it would make more sense to just use the fill that's set and not relying on that obscure "Use fill" setting. Also, after restarting the software the "Use fill" is forgotten and resets to off. Can you please explain me what those "Synchronize defaults" and "Reset defaults" button do?
  8. Hmm... I think I may have a bugged version because that doesn't work for me. Here's a recording of what happens to me: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13592444/affinity.mov
  9. The title pretty much sums it up... I cannot figure out how to set the default fill and line for new shapes. In my opinion it should grab the settings of the last previous selected shape. But currently is being set to something different randomly and I cannot figure out why or how.
  10. Yes MEB, that would be pretty much what I need. The ability to drag-select shapes inside a group.
  11. I see what you mean MEB, but it still feels very cumbersome. For me, it would make sense that once "inside" a group I'd be able to only select the elements on that group and then I'd have to double-click outside the group to exit. Do you know if there's any planned feature that will make this easier?
  12. Not exactly sure how to call this "feature" but I think in Illustrator it was called "Isolation Mode". What I want to be able to do is, for example, enter a group and drag a selection over a few elements without interfering with background elements. Without, obviously, having to lock them previously. Is there something to accomplish this? It seems like a really basic feature and it's essential to my workflow. How do you guys deal with this type of situations?
  13. The ideal workflow in my opinion is something similar to how Sketch3 does it. You can basically define multiple export sizes (be it in percentage or pixels) per object/group. They mentioned this feature is in the works but would definitely be nice to know when to expect it.
  14. The lack of this single feature is what prevents me from using this software. Nowadays we really need a lot more flexibility than simply @2x. The ideal workflow in my opinion is how they do it in Sketch 3 where you can define per object multiple export options.
