  1. To be fair, The documentation doesn't mention the specific persona is required for the Text Frame panel. So I'd say it's not clearly communicated in the first place. https://affinity.help/publisher/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/frameText.html?title=Frame text Maybe when they give my Affinity some AI I'll call it a persona
  2. Ohhhhh! Thank you, Thank you, Thomaso. I saw that mentioned somewhere and looked for that... I was in Designer mode. It's only in View > Studio... in Publisher mode.
  3. I noticed my artistic text tool text has borders around it. I'm not sure if I've accidentally turned something on. I can try to redo the page... But I'd really like to know why it's happening. (FYI: Turning on the stroke style outlines the letters not the box the letters are in.) Any thoughts on how to remove these? Windows 10/version 1.8.4/Publisher The image attached with the toolbar on the side is Publisher with some details (i.e. no stroke width) The other image is an from an exported PDF. Thank you.
  4. I'm a little late to the party (I had not tested the beta versions since I'd commented.) Thank you Affinity Dev Group! The pen feature is working absolutely perfect now. -Ryan
  5. Agreed! I picked up an ideapad to use the pen feature for drawing. It's nearly impossible to use in Affinity Designer/Photo. If you go in a the wrong angle or lift the pen too high, you get marks or new boxes under your hand. Here are some other posts requesting the same feature: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/63156-how-do-you-disable-touch-drawing-on-affinity-photo/&do=findComment&comment=427164https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/58505-disable-just-finger-drawing/ (This mentions Krita; an open source drawing program that toggles this feature via "Enable Touch Painting") https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/51014-option-to-disable-touch-input-on-tools/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/48625-disabling-the-touch-on-the-surface-book/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/30004-pen-sensitivity-with-touch-rejection/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/40151-toggle-painting-with-touch-when-using-touchscreenstylus/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/50407-option-to-disable-tool-input-with-touch-on-windows/ Unfortunately evidence shows that windows does not handle this well (with the "disable touches when using the Pen to draw" feature) on it's own and Microsoft has added software like Sketchbook and Sticky notes, that disable touch and only respond to pen on the drawing surface (These work great). Hope this is something we can have added. As mentioned above, there is an open source painting project called Krita that handles this beautifully, maybe they can be a source of inspiration. It's a pain to switch back and forth between drawing and design. Thanks! -Ryan
  6. I too would love this option. I'm using a pen with an ideapad. It works beautifully in Krita; However I do more of my work in Affinity Designer. I thought windows would handle this better... but it seems they left this up to the app makers to turn the feature on/off. For example. The Krita program does it with the option 'Enable Touch Painting". With it off the Pen works to interact with the drawing bits, and you are able to use your off hand to manipulate zoom, ctrl+z, etc. Thanks, Hope this is something that can make it into Affinity. -Ryan
  7. Had a crash when dragging pages to change order. Crash log attached. Reproduced: 10 pages. Dragged page 10 in front of page 1. Let everything reorder (page 10 is now 1.) Then dragged new page 1 back to where it was in page 10 location. Really loving it so far! Thanks, can't wait to give you money for it. -Ryan affinitiy-pub-dragpagecrash.txt
