Sub-headings continue from 2, if I didn't add that Heading, I get the following:

I followed your instructions and still can't figure it out, I don't know how they couldn't make it a bit easier, this app is really stressing me out to use.

Thank you guys, it's clear now, but I have another issue.

When I use text styles 1. Numbering and 1.1 Numbering, the TOC shows the headings to the right:

Another question, how does the app understand my layout? How it knows that text style is a child or sub-category of the other?

For example, testing this on Heading 1, 2, 3... X works fine, what if I wanted to make "Sub-heading" as a child of "Heading"?

Hello everyone,

When I create a TOC (Table of contents) based on some text styles I created, it's generated like that:

Heading 1

Sub-heading 1

Heading 2

Sub-heading 1

 

I want it to be like that:

Heading 1

-- Sub-heading 1

Heading 2

-- Sub-heading 1

 

Idk how to explain this, I wanted to adjust different indentation of TOC levels

+1 here, I really support Serif, their payment model is fantastic but on the other hand, such a feature requested many many times for 5-6 years and still not implemented is really a disappointment.

If only the opposite scenario took place, I wonder how you would react then. Imagine if Affinity's software simply supported RTL by default but not LTR. I'm sure you will be the first person to whine about that.

I'm not bitching, you're the one that is praising their effort way too much. They simply let version 1 users burn with all those bugs and unfinished features or essential features that have not been developed at all

I know they do a lot of marketing in that regard. But, IMO, the Adobe apps are still ahead in pretty much everything.

You got the exact point, developers can develop a "version 2" with "a lot of new features and redesigned UI" but can't figure how to develop Arabic support.

First of all, I would like to express my great disappointment, I know that a great portion of people here may disagree with me.

Just imagine how it happened:

1. Release version 1

2. Users request tons of essential features, for me, mainly RTL support which is ESSENTIAL
"AWARD WINNING" software in "2022", and still no RTL support, I can't figure out how I paid for a software that can't type in Arabic lol

3. Release tons of updates with more bugs and glitches appearing every update

4. Fix bugs, new bugs appear

5. Development team is done with those bugs

6. Throw version 1 all together and release version 2

Perfect plan. Oh, I almost forgot, you're most likely to delete this post as it's "violating terms" ha ha ha.
