Is anyone else having trouble with borderless printing? (I'm running Mavericks with a Canon Pixma MX860) I am choosing the Paper Handling to Letter Borderless, which enables the Amount of Extension slider under Borderless Printing, but not matter the setting I choose, the edges still show white in the preview, and print white as well. I am not having this issue with other programs (iDraw, Pages, OpenOffice)

Not familiar with AI, but I love CorelDRAW's way of handling this - click on the edit points icon, and you can simple drag the kerning or line spacing. Or even move one letter individually, while still retaining the text. (i.e. not having to convert it to curves before manipulating the text) This is great for any kind of word art, and would love to see it in AD.

I am wondering the same thing. In CorelDRAW it's a bitmap / texture transparency. I haven't figure out how to do this (if it can be done yet) in Affinity. Would LOVE to give up the Windows side of my Mac.

I'm not sure how to explain this, other than to say I still miss Corel's style of PowerClipping where you can see not just the "window" of the clip, but the entire object that is being clipped, as well as being able to see all of the objects that belong to the same clip. Especially being able to see the entire object being clipped helps to position the image/object.

Running CD X4 on VMWare Fusion, switched to Mac 6 months ago, would love to import my "old" files

Is the expand stroke supposed to be used to get an offset, or contour? Maybe I am doing something wrong....

Yes, there are options for Windows programs, I'm moving from CD/win7 to iMac.

Is there consideration of adding an offset option to the duplication? Explanation - if you're wanting to make columns of stripes, you could make the first line, then set the horizontal offset to 1/8", then just keep duplicating the previous object. Or, object could be offset could be vertical, or both.

I just realized that by using the Target / Inside, Affinity Designer has nearly the same clipping power of CorelDraw!! I've used a lot of vector programs, but nothing comes close. (never used AI, but understand it doesn't either) If you're moving from Windows / CD, and you're looking for a similar feature: Set the TARGET to INSIDE, open your MEDIA BROWSER, then simply drag your elements in. To edit, click on the layer panel, and drag, resize, add effects, etc. So great to see!

WONDERFUL! Non-existent in all other vector programs (except AI - way out of my price range!)

Another request: bitmap transparencies. See the attached graphic with the TNR font appearing as a stamp on the yellow background. I'm a new Mac user, still on CorelDRAW X4 on VMWare Fusion. I'm looking for a good Mac Vector replacement, but it seems that every vector program is missing a few key features that I use regularly in CD. I will be listing the ones I'd love to see in Affinity. So far nothing is really a good replacement for the features I use. Would love to see Affinity become the Mac's CorelDRAW!

Would love to be able to do the font spacing (horizontal kerning) and paragraph leading (vertical kerning) with a simple click of the mouse as in CorelDRAW. I would love to see a contour / offset option. On some shapes you can make a smaller version of the same (see rectangle) for an offset outline, but for the letter R, and other shapes, making a scaled down version would not work. (let me know if I am missing this option)
