Placing (etc) a PDF

Just to get this straight If I placed a PDF in AfPub it will ALWAYS change the fonts etc. NO way around it? This is a pain in the but. IN my 10 year old Indesign it places fine. If this is not fixed I might as well stay with InDesign...or QuarkXpress version 3.1 I guess I can always change the pdf to a JPG.

Hello Everyone Well I made the jump into Affinity. Still have a CS5 copy of PhotoShop on the mac. BUT it's acting up lately, crashing etc. I did not want to get/rent the CC version and my Mac is 7 years old. Still works fine and even better with the 1.66 Affinity. Worked with it for a week and I can see some fun times ahead. Thanks for all the info on this site. Hopefully I can contribute some to the content a bit later. See you later
