  1. Hi, How do I create a mask to fill a transparent black and white vector drawing with a seamless background in Affinity Designer? Did try to make a pixel mask from the seamless image, but this is only filling the lines of the drawing with a seamless pattern instead of the whole image. Some help is much appreciated! David
  2. The plugin is part of the normal download and contains both standalone and plugin! When you apply a normal install on Mac it installs both.
  3. I have the same lens for Canon and it's the most commonly used lens from Tokina. Unfortunately the lens profile is missing in both image applications I use. Afinity Photo and Capture One. And nowhere to find. Only thing you can do is make a request for it at lensfun, but I'm not sure how to do that.
  4. Your path seems to be wrong you want the plugin try this: First remove sharpen with the remove button then follow the steps closely./Applications/Topaz Sharpen AI/Topaz Sharpen AI.app/Contents/You can add the path in the “Plugin Search Folder” by clicking “add” the panel opens and you have to click CMD + Shift + G now you can fill in the path etc. Try it with /contents and without I can't see from here how you did the install. And Gigapixel is no plugin so better remove that too it's the only one application that doesn't provide a plugin version from the AI Suite. Think the problem is caused by paths leading to standalone applications instead of the plugin version. The path I show you at the start of my reply is the same for all Topaz plugins, obviously you only have to change the naming of the plugin. Regards, David
  5. Hi VG, Because of the different zoom level you have between Affinity Photo/Topaz Sharpen AI plugin and the standalone plugin from Topaz it's hard to notice the effect at first. I can assure you Topaz Sharpen AI works on Mac (Catalina or Mojave) in Affinity Photo. Before doing anything else take a image and duplicate it with CMD + J and stay on that layer during the whole test. Now Apply Sharpen to that new created layer. After the plugin is closed zoom in to the extreem with CMD + + and toggle the layer on and off. Do you notice any difference in the pixels you see between the original layer and the duplicate your on? If yes it works if no please post an screen shot of the plugin panel so we can see how the plugin is connected. The plugin panel can be opened on Mac by clicking left top: Affinity Photo > Preferences > Photoshop Plugins Regards, David This is what you want to see on Mac with or without the /Contents:
  6. Me too! It's not more then common sense to organize the forum like any other forum I know! And about the coding (it's my profession) that should not be relevant it's a peace of cake, more important is how do you get all the old topics sorted in the proper matter! And who is going to take care of that? The longer they wait the more chaos it becomes. Maybe a nice student job for in the next year? Moving topics to the the proper forum place!
  7. You do realize that it's a older (7th) generation 4 cores i7 processor from 2017 and the price is not low? I would go for something like this (9th generation) 8 cores: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-9700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07HHN6KBZ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Intel+Core+i7+9700K+-+Processor&qid=1575984870&s=electronics&sr=1-1 But then you probably need a compatible motherboard too! Doesn't have to be more expensive! From my experience it's better to go to a professional computer assembly shop and let it built with the best components there are beyond a reasonable price limit. Most of the time you pay the same price or even less and you have guarantee on the computer.
  8. Or create a special "export for web images" button with some web related extensions like webp!
  9. https://www.brusheezy.com/free/flare I'm not sure if they will work in Affinity Photo!?
  10. The installed Catalina path probably differs a little from the one in Mojave, but I'm glad you got it working. To be honest I've been pulling my hair out to find the proper way to do this! And the Topaz tutorials are not of any help! Remember that when you add an other Topaz plugin you don't have to do the Global + / procedure again and only add the new paths. Regards, David
  11. Does the plugin work now? Close the preferences and let Affinity Photo restart!
  12. It looks like you have "Authorise Global" working, because it's grayed out! Is the plugin working now? The path doesn't look complete: /Contents/ is missing at the end.
  13. To get the slash in: a.) Affinity Photo -> Preferences -> Photoshop Plugins. b.) Plugin Support Folders -> Add c.) Shift+Cmd+G to bring up "Go to the folder" text input. d.) Type "/" (in other words, root, everything). Press "Ok" a few times. e.) Photo should show just "/" in the plugin support list. (only / of course) Click Authorise Global But then remove the wrong path and put the proper in the way I explained before: /Applications/Topaz Adjust AI/Topaz Adjust AI.app/Contents/ Restart the application
  14. Did you click "Authorise Global", because it needs to look grayed out and only a / (slash) should appear in the "Plugin Support Folders" panel. First "remove" the path, then Authorize global, then add the path like this: /Applications/Topaz Adjust AI/Topaz Adjust AI.app/Contents/ Just copy and past my path. You can add the path in the “Plugin Search Folder” by clicking “add” the panel opens and you have to do CMD + Shift + G now you can fill in the path etc.
  15. When you read my post that's exactly what I'm instructing him to do, but then in a way that works on a Mac! That tutorial is obsolete and has to be renewed by Topaz staff.
  16. Tried that tutorial in the past but it did not work! When you do as I pointed out you get the proper paths!
  17. Just to be sure that you use the proper paths in Affinity Photo I posted a screen shot for you! Example: /Applications/Topaz Sharpen AI/Topaz Sharpen AI.app/Contents/ You can add the path in the “Plugin Search Folder” by clicking “add” the panel opens and you have to do CMD + Shift + G now you can fill in the path etc. Don't forget to click "Authorise Global" and see if the / slash appears in the Plugin Support Folders Panel. It is possible that you have to click ones on "add" under the "Plugin Support Folders" panel and then activate "Authorise Global". Restart Affinity Photo. Regards, David
