Does anyone else has this issue? at 1.7 and prior, every time designer crashed, when open again it asked to restore the progress. It wasn't fully updated but the amount it auto saved was pretty decent. Which made me feel secure even if it crashed, it still had store a good bunch of work without me saving it. Since i updated to 1.8, Designer has crashed several times and when i reopen, it does not restore anything and i have to start working from scratch... which has made me constant hitting command+s every few seconds. This is not up to the standards i expect from serif. which makes me curious how broad is this issue, and what are the ways to fix it.

Hi. I cant have live preview of changing colors of font. Changes will apply after i remove pencil from color wheel. See video IMG_4479.MOV

Hi. Thanks Pauls. Could you elaborate on the issue please? You mean the font cannot be installed in your system? Or it did but Also gave errors along the way. Is this system wide issue, or exclusive to affinity, since i haven’t ent had this issue with other apps yet. What is the alternative way to fix this instead of not having to use the font?

In the stroke options where we have 4 options (none/stroke/dashed/brush) i believe we can have an extra option as “multiple strokes” where user can choose “how many” strokes with “which length” and “distance gap” between the lines where if we curve them, they still follow those lines. In “appearance panel, something similar to this functionality already exists. But i believe its not exactly the same. Appearance panel strokes seems like are not expanded when we “expand stroke”. Whats up with that. if this function is created. I believe the Use case of “stroke pressure” interface could be useful as a way to utilize the function of creating eye shaped structures where there are multiple strokes connecting to each other in each end and have same distance of each other while in separated areas.

When i link two text boxes with content in them, than i click outside the text box to deselect them, than click “v” to access move tool. At that moment, publisher crashes

Also figured out clicking bullets button on toolbar also fixes my issue which makes me wonder, isn't the UI logic of this area a bit unlike what serif team usually does? Either select bullets from the top toolbar and than adjust the properties in Bullets/numbers tab on paragraph panel 2. Or Enable bullets in paragraph panel > create a text style > Edit text style > click on paragraph (for some reason the option was not there at paragraph style) adjust the indent... which if i disable bullets, i have to readjust the indent again. the thing i like about affinity is the intuitive UX which makes me wonder whats the intent in designing such workflow

It started working again after resetting , force quitting for several times (roughly 15-20 tries) but now it wont close, gives this error "at least one file is being loaded. Please wait before quitting."

Hi , so i made a lengthy document and i want to use few specific types of paragraph style for the whole document, the problem is, after applying paragraph style, the color of all texts becomes uniform, which makes texts both on dark or white backgrounds become white. Is some documents where there photos, this is useful, but in some, it creates a hassle to modify all text colors one by one which could be fixed if we could save blend mode in paragraph style

No. I hope theres no misunderstanding, i guess its my ocd. The blurred edges of the logo seemed to decrease the overall sharpness of the website, i usually use svg for web logos and icons. I also believe it could be less in size as well, since i see affinity platform as a professional team, so i got curious if there is reason u chose png rather than svg.

I see. Wouldnt it make more sense if the software automatically subtract the top vector shape from the buttom vector shape when the top layer is set to erase blend mode while exporting?
