skyking got a reaction from jmwellborn in Indesign IDML in Publisher not perfect
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and answers. Jmwellborn’s reply is excellent and I will go back and do what he has done. I want to this book in publisher incase we have to do a third printing with any additional changes. I do realize the transfer won’t be 100% and I have had luck with 100% transfer for some things.
    Thanks again

skyking got a reaction from sfriedberg in Text being screened on a Laser Printer.
As a Final - Here is what I discovered. I had assigned a icc profile for "sheetfed uncoated". I went into document set up and assigned a profile  of "Generic CMYK". When I printed text was solid - no screening. I suspect when printing "Sheetfed uncoated" the program assumes you are sending off to a RIP which will do some conversions. When I create a PDF I always do NOT include any profile and the printer (via prepress) will assign their own press or digital profile. This solves a problem!!
Thanks again for everyones input. This was a very good discussion.

skyking reacted to Chris_K in [IDML Implemented] How can I open Indesign (indd and idml) Files in Publisher?
I can't give any timelines for this (IDML import, not INDD). It's being worked and will be in an update when it is considered working and relatively stable. But I would be talking more than a few weeks in not months, It's not a simple thing to just implement
(edited by Patrick Connor for clarity that this is a statement about IDML and not INDD: 08 July 2019)

skyking reacted to Lee D in Affinity Photo as a plugin for LightRoom
    Hi James,
    Welcome to the forums.

You can setup Affinity Photo to be an External Editor in Lightroom's Preferences. This will allow you to edit a copy in Affinity and when finished the copy will be updated in Lightroom.
